.Enable children to become independent, with the ability to think for themselves and express their own ideas, creatively
.To learn to share and be polite to others.
.To learn to be an active, caring, part of the community and wider world
So that all children are ready and happy to move on to their chosen primary schools. This will be achieved by building close links with parents/carers, enabling us to build upon the child's first experiences.
Providing a safe and stimulating environment, equipped with a suitable range of resources. Employing and developing a trained and committed staff team.
Staff training and support
It is essential that the people working in early years have the right skills and training to give children the best in life. One of the most important factors affecting a child's healthy development is the quality of education and childcare. They receive their earliest years. We Believe the key to an outstanding practitioner is aided by the regular relevant training they undertake. All staff members are encouraged to undertake qualifications relating to childcare and education alongside additional needs of the setting and requirements of the EYFS. This will further extend their knowledge, skills and experience.
All staff members employed at the setting will have the opportunity to take part in training delivered by recognised training providers, such as the local authority I OW local safeguarding, children's partnership, at no cost to themselves. (unless they fail to attend a course, which has been booked by themselves and not cancelled and agreed timescale) all staff are encouraged to undertake training which interests them alongside their assigned area to build their CPD. We are committed to safeguarding here at Binstead stepping stones. With this in mind, all staff must undertake face to face safeguarding training at least once every two years, and will annually attend various other safeguard related training. All staff members undertaking a qualification relating to early years will be supported, encouraged and guided within the setting. If they wish, a mentor will be assigned to them. The setting will not hold anyone back who wishes to train further.
