Ratios
Child/Staff ratios: For children 2 - 3 years 5 children to 1 adult, 3 - 5 years 8:1. When possible we lower these ratios by having extra staff members or volunteers, but sometimes have to limit the number of under 3’s attending any one session.
This Pre-School is committed to providing:-
good quality care and Early Years Education to help the development and education of children under statutory school age allowing all children to be unique and of equal worth
The aims and objectives of the Pre-School are:-

Welcome both parent/carer and child to a happy and secure environment

Help the child to develop with confidence as an individual through exploration, experiment and play with other children and adults

Learn to respect and consider others without prejudice

Enable the child to become independent with the ability to think for themselves and express their own ideas creatively.

Learn to share and be polite to others so that all the children are ready and happy to go on to whichever Primary School they are allocated a place at.
This will be achieved by :-

Building close links with parents/carers, enabling us to build upon the child's first experiences

Providing a safe and stimulating environment equipped with a suitable range of resources
