Safeguarding

Here at Binstead Stepping Stones we feel very strongly that children, families and staff come to the setting confident that safeguarding is in the forefront of all that we do.

Safeguarding is ALL our responsibility. Within the setting  this ranges from the children learning how to protect themselves and care for others, to  families and wider community having information and contacts to share concerns, and to the setting and staff supporting, educating and undertaking training to act as positive role models. We update training as required by the EYFS and local safeguarding child's partnership recommendations. Staff access a mixture of online and face to face training, and are encouraged to reflect, share and implement any learning. We currently subscribe to the local authority learning and development scheme and use these and outside agencies such as government, NSPCC, Barnardo's and NHS to undertake training.

Our site is a no smoking/vaping site and no one will be allowed to do so on the premises

The following are some of our policies and procedures in place to provide a framework to which we all work and are formulated inline with Local Safeguarding Partnership,

and government guidance.
