What is Tapestry?

Tapestry is an easy-to-use online learning journal, Tapestry helps educators and parents to record, track and celebrate children's progress in early years education. Key persons will regularly upload videos, pictures and written observations of your child, which you can see instantly when added to their journal.

It's completely free for parents, carers and extended family members.

Tapestry is about capturing the magic of a child's early years experience, and recording children's learning in a way that is easy, fun and beneficial to the family, child and setting.

Learning Journals and special books have grown in popularity over the last decade, offering early years settings a way to record the special moments of their children, and to keep parents involved in a partnership as their children blossom and grow. More recently they have been used in conjunction with the developmental stages and milestones to assess more formally how children are progressing. Tapestry is the next step in the partnership between home and school.

When you sign your child up for Stepping Stones, we will ask you to fill out a Tapestry permission slip. From here we can set up your account and we aim to make your account live before your child starts.
